The international investors and other stakeholders (i.e., trading partners, consumers) are increasingly vigilant about the decarbonization commitment and strategies of companies. Singapore is the first ASEAN country to introduce carbon tax while it is expected that other countries will follow in due course, paving the foundation for the growth of the regional carbon market. Companies will have to work on the carbon tax obligations and the associated financial implications in their short-term strategies. In their long-term strategies, organizations must find prudent ways to address the international decarbonization commitments as well as the market forces around the emerging energy security.
The program will cover key aspects of carbon market mechanism, carbon (tax) accounting, carbon inventory management and decarbonisation strategies. The participants after attending the program should have better understanding of the international carbon accounting principles, standards and frameworks GHG protocol, CDP questionnaire and ISO 14064 as well as emission reporting with scope 1, 2 & 3.
